Wednesday greetings from a little less hot and humid Chicago area. Severe thunderstorms moved through again last night; makes for some incredible viewing of the Chicago skyline.
Even though I did not take this picture, this is pretty much the view of the Sears (Willis) Tower from my bedroom window. A few weeks ago, I witnessed this lightning strike. It's awesome to watch (and noone got injured and there was no damage).
Anyway, speaking of lightning strikes, what a week it is turning out to be here at WLP. Phone call after phone call with musicians asking for the Mass setting accompaniments that they need to start praticing now in order to be prepared for early implementation. And these were not scheduled to even go to press until early September for the November implementation; yikes! But we are doing everything we can to make versions available for our worship resource subscribers now.
I am headed to the Archdiocese of Dubuque on Friday to present a day of formation on the implementation of The Roman Missal on Saturday. The group will consist largely of permanent deacons. Back on the road for a few months focusing on the imlpementation. Then, hopefully, things will begin settling down.
Gotta sing. Gotta pray.
